Third Marking Period

Task #21ABC; Practice Google Sketch Up

The first thing I did was change the camera to Front view. Then by using the tools I created a triangle (line tool), a square, and a circle. After that I created another set of the three shapes below it. Using the push up tool i made the 2-D into 3D shapes. After that i attempted to do my name in 3D by using the line tools and arc tools.

Task #22; 12Blocks with Precise Dimensions

The first thing I did was open up Google Sketch-Up to a new file. Using the reference on the Multimedia Website (tzs101.blogspot.com) I got my measurements for each shape. In this case there was a X axis (the length), the Y axis (the height), and the Z axis (the width). Each box on the diagram counted as a foot on Google Sketch-Up. I used the square tool to create the basic shapes. Then by using the guide tool I was able to establish guide lines to create the correct proportions of the shape. Finally by using the push and pull tool I made     them into 3D images.

                                                      Task #23; Lakeside Bungalow

The first thing I did was create the basic box for the structure, making sure the camera was in ISO view. Following the measurements (x-axis;14.5'... y-axis;9.75"... z-axis;10.75') the box was made, After that I created the roof by using the protractor and creating a 8.5' slope in a 60 degree line. I then used the rectangle tool to create the basic for the window(2' off the ground) and sliding doors. After a 2' indent for the door, and a 1' for the window, I used the offset tool to create the frames. After that I focused the side window and the roof windows, by doing the same thing I had done to the the first window, after dividing it into fours, i created the frames and such. Finally, by going to TOP view I used the rectangle tool to create the deck, and to create the support under it. After all of that, I had fun with it and used the paint bucket (colors and patterns) to give the house its final look.

Task #24; 3D Glasses Effect

The first thing I did was open up an image of the seaside on photoshop. On a new slot, I opened the image of my Bungalow (ISO view). I created a new layer as I brought the image of my Bungalow over to the background, using the magic tool to erase everything from that image but the house itself. After sizing it up and placing it in it's final location, I duplicated the image of the house. and called it Red. Going to its properties I unchecked the box that was labeled G,B to leave only the on. The same went for the original except the R was to be unchecked because it was everything but Red. I then moved the RED image to the side to create the given 3D effect.

Task #25; Glowing Power Button

The first thing I did was open a new file and create the title of the project. After that I created an ellipse, adding the necessary details for that background (drop shadow and color overlay). From there i created a slightly smaller than the previous circle, adding a gradient and stroke to it. The came the aluminum effect, by using the marquee tool and by adding a Filter>noise>add noise & Filter>Blur>Radial Blur. After that I selected the layers and inverse them, deleting anything that remained from the rectangle. I then added the Power Symbol, giving it the glow and orange colors by adding Inner Shadow, Outer and Inner Glow, and a gradient overlay. Finally, I used the Animation tool, converting the image into animation frames to bring the glow to life.

Task #26; TEST Showcasing your favorite items

On part one of the test I focused on creating the actual room (or showcasing box) for the items. First, I opened a new file, 1680 by 1024 pixels. After that, by using a fixed size (on the rectangular Marquee tool) and the rulers I was able to create guide lines for the box it's self. Once I had set up the walls, ceiling, floor, and the middle I clicked the floor and ceiling layer; using edit>transform>perspective to connect the edges to the inside of the middle triangle edge. (making sure the Snap Option was turned on so it would snap into place. Once i created the basic structure, I applied the gradient and color overlays needed for each section until I got my final result for day one.
On part two of the test, I focused on creating the showcase lights that will illuminate the soccer cleats. The first thing I did was create an ellipse on the ceiling of the showcase. Adding inner shadow and glow, bevel and emboss, contour, satin, and color overlay details to that layer. After that, I created a slightly smaller ellipse to fit slightly on the bottom of the original ellipse, leaving it white. Once that was done, I used the Marquee tool to make an outline for the base of the lighting, filling it with white and adding a Gaussian Blur of 10px and setting the opacity to 40%. I then outlined another ellipse on the middle wall, adding the same blur but of 25px and 80% opacity. Once again, I used the marquee tool to make the outline for the light ray, filling it with white, using a linear gradient, and setting it at a 10% opacity. Once I had successfully made one set of the lights, I grouped the layers and created two more copies, Setting them in their positions to get the final result above.
On Part three of the test, I merely added the pictures of the Nike Tiempo Legend V soccer cleats. Using the magnetic lasso tool to select the cleats and move them to the showcase without the background. I then just adjusted their size and set them in place. Finishing the test! :D

Task #27; Brochure on Publisher

For this task I opened a brochure template on Publisher. Customizing it to my own liking I chose the Aqua color scheme. I then added information about my school, my schedule, and the class I go to in MCSM. By adding images, changing fonts, and adding text boxes I was able to create my final result. Yay! We're done with projects :)
